New Delhi, 29 April 2025 — In a proud moment for Maharashtra, 19-year-old Supral Vitthalrao Zade from Chandrapur has been conferred the prestigious Desh Ratna Award 2025 in New Delhi, recognizing his outstanding contributions as a social worker and social media influencer driving positive change.
Supral has emerged as a passionate voice for youth and community welfare, using both grassroots efforts and digital platforms to raise awareness on critical social issues. His innovative approach to digital advocacy and consistent involvement in community service has earned him national recognition at a remarkably young age.
Balancing Academics with Activism
A dedicated student, Supral is currently pursuing a degree in Forensic Science and Cyber Security at the People's College of Forensic Science and Cyber Security, Aurangabad. His academic interests in digital safety and justice align closely with his public initiatives, where he often addresses topics such as women’s safety, cyber awareness, mental health, and youth empowerment.
Despite being just 19, Supral has already built a reputation as a responsible digital influencer who uses his voice to amplify marginalized issues and encourage civic engagement among his peers.
A Voice for the Digital Generation
Through an impactful presence on social media, Supral has become a role model for responsible youth activism. He has spearheaded several online awareness campaigns, collaborated with local NGOs, and used his influence to inspire others toward education, equality, and ethical digital behavior.
The Desh Ratna Award, one of India's highest civilian honors in the field of public service and youth leadership, recognizes individuals whose work embodies the spirit of nation-building and social upliftment.
“Supral Zade represents the voice of India’s future — informed, empowered, and driven by purpose,” said one of the dignitaries at the award ceremony.
