National Icon Award
is presented annually by the Bharati Youth Welfare Association (BYWA), an organization recognized by the Government of India. The award is given to individuals at the national level for their contribution to the country and society in their development work and for their contribution in developing a peaceful, fair, prosperous and sustainable future that meets the nation's sustainable development goals.
नेशनल आइकन अवार्ड प्रतिवर्ष, भारत सरकार द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त संगठन, भारती युवा वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन (BYWA) द्वारा प्रदान किया जाता है। यह पुरस्कार राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर देश और समाज के प्रति योगदान के लिए को उनके विकास कार्यों और राष्ट्र के सतत विकास लक्ष्यों को पूरा करने वाले शांतिपूर्ण, निष्पक्ष, समृद्ध और टिकाऊ भविष्य के विकास में उनके योगदान के लिए दिया जाता है।
History
National Icon Award The award was first started in 2016 by Bharti Yuva Welfare (BYWA), an organization recognized by the Government of India. This award is given to 100 individuals at the national level, who have set high standards for their inspirational work and services to the nation and society. The award gives national recognition to these individuals who have dedicated their lives to their communities, nations and The National Icon Award honors powerful, outstanding and influential role models in the fields of social work, education, human rights, peace, philanthropy, business, sports, health, entertainment, youth empowerment and popular arts and culture. In 2017, Bharti Yuva Welfare Association (BYWA) also introduced the "Rashtra Gaurav Ratna" to recognize the inspirational achievements of young individuals in India.

नेशनल आइकॉन अवार्ड पुरस्कार पहली बार 2016 में भारती युवा वेलफेयर (BYWA) द्वारा शुरू किया गया था, भारत सरकार द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त संगठन है। यह पुरस्कार राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर 100 व्यक्तियों को प्रदान किया जाता है, जिन्होंने राष्ट्र व समाज के लिए, अपने प्रेरक कार्यों और सेवाओं के लिए उच्च मानक स्थापित किए हैं। यह पुरस्कार इन व्यक्तियों को राष्ट्रीय मान्यता देता है जिन्होंने अपना जीवन समुदायों, राष्ट्रों और के लिए समर्पित कर दिया है। सामाजिक कार्य, शिक्षा, मानवाधिकार, शांति, परोपकार, व्यवसाय, खेल, स्वास्थ्य, मनोरंजन, युवा सशक्तिकरण और लोकप्रिय कला और संस्कृति के क्षेत्र में शक्तिशाली, उत्कृष्ट और प्रभावशाली रोल मॉडल को नेशनल आइकन अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया जाता है। 2017 में भारती युवा वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन (BYWA) ने भारत में युवा व्यक्तियों की प्रेरणादायक उपलब्धियों को मान्यता देने के लिए "राष्ट्र गौरव रत्न" भी पेश किया।
Rules ans Regulations
The nominee must have been engaged in development work for more than 12 months in a professional or voluntary capacity; : The nominee should be an Indian citizen and the development work should be taking place in any state or union territory of the country. : Individuals can nominate themselves or be nominated by someone who can accurately describe their development work; :Winners must agree to participate in the promotion generated by BYWA. :The awards will be judged on the following basis: 1. Level of impact; 2. Level of innovation/new approach to problem solving; 3. Quality of achievement; 4. Quality of evidence provided. 5. Stability
The National Icon Award consists of a memento (shield), a medal, a citation and a certificate. The top prize is Rs. Rs.10000(Rupees Ten Thousand Only) along with a citation which will be given to only the best one among the winners as “BYWA Great Man of the Year”.
There have been more than 8 sessions of the National Icon Award so far in which more than 300 people have been honored. Mainly the National Icon Award is held in Delhi. Delhi Indian Art Center is held at Kamani Auditorium, in the year 2023. The last program was held at Kamani Auditorium, Delhi, after which the next session will be held at LTG Auditorium, Delhi on 25 june 2024.
नामांकित व्यक्ति व्यावसायिक या स्वैच्छिक क्षमता में 12 महीने से अधिक समय से विकास कार्य में लगा हुआ होना चाहिए; : नामांकित व्यक्ति भारतीय नागरिक होना चाहिए और विकास कार्य देश के किसी भी राज्य या केंद्र शासित प्रदेश में हो रहा होना चाहिए। : व्यक्ति स्वयं को नामांकित कर सकते हैं या किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति द्वारा नामांकित किया जा सकता है जो उनके विकास कार्यों का सटीक वर्णन कर सके; :विजेताओं को BYWA द्वारा उत्पन्न प्रचार में भाग लेने के लिए सहमत होना होगा। :पुरस्कारों का निर्णय निम्न आधार पर किया जाएगा: 1. प्रभाव का स्तर; 2. समस्या समाधान के लिए नवाचार/नए दृष्टिकोण का स्तर; 3. उपलब्धि की गुणवत्ता; 4. उपलब्ध कराए गए साक्ष्य की गुणवत्ता. 5. स्थिरता
नेशनल आइकॉन अवार्ड में एक (शील्ड) मोमेंटो, मेडल, एक प्रशस्ति पत्र और एक सर्टिफिकेट शामिल होता है। शीर्ष पुरस्कार में रु. 10000(केवल दस हज़ार रुपये) एक प्रशस्ति पत्र के साथ जो विजेताओं में से केवल एक सर्वश्रेष्ठ को "BYWA ग्रेट मैनऑफ द ईयर" के रूप में दिया जाएगा।
नेशनल आइकन अवार्ड की अब तक 8 से ज्यादा सत्र हो चुके हैं जिनमें 300 से अधिक लोगों को सम्मानित किया जा चुका है मुख्य रूप से नेशनल आइकन अवार्ड दिल्ली में आयोजित किया जाता है दिल्ली भारतीय कला केंद्र कमानी ऑडिटोरियम में आयोजित हुआ है, वर्ष 2023 में आखिरी कार्यक्रम कमानी ऑडिटोरियम दिल्ली में आयोजित किया गया था इसके बाद अगला सत्र 5 दिसंबर 2023 को दिल्ली के एलटीजी ऑडिटोरियम में आयोजित होगा
