Sajjad Ahmad Dar Honoured with Veer Savarkar National Award 2026 at Bharat Mandapam

New Delhi, June 3: Renowned socio-political activist from Jammu & Kashmir, Sajjad Ahmad Dar (Sajjad Noorabadi), was honoured with the prestigious Veer Savarkar National Award 2026 during the grand Veer Savarkar National Conclave & Awards held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The award was presented in recognition of his outstanding contribution towards peace-building, social awareness, democratic participation, and public service in Jammu & Kashmir. Through years of dedicated efforts, Sajjad Ahmad Dar has played an active role in promoting social harmony and strengthening public engagement across the region.

The honour was conferred in the distinguished presence of Dr. Raj Bhushan Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Government of India; Shri Shyam Jaju, National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party; Justice Lok Pal Singh, former Judge of the High Court of Uttarakhand; Shri Ramesh Chandra Ratn; and Shri Janardan Singh Sigriwal, Member of Parliament.

Over the years, Sajjad Ahmad Dar has worked in coordination with the Jammu & Kashmir Police and the Indian Army in various initiatives aimed at restoring peace, stability, and public confidence. His efforts have contributed significantly towards encouraging constructive dialogue, community participation, and national integration.

Apart from his social initiatives, he has remained actively engaged in the democratic process, contesting three Lok Sabha elections and two Assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir. His consistent involvement in public affairs reflects his commitment to representing people's aspirations and strengthening democratic values.

The Veer Savarkar National Conclave & Awards 2026, organized by Bharti Yuva Welfare Association, brought together distinguished leaders, policymakers, social reformers, and achievers from across India to celebrate excellence, leadership, and service to the nation.
