Dr. Vasudha Kapoor Honoured with the Youth Icon Award at the 10th Season of National Icon Award 2026

New Delhi, October 13, 2026: Dr. Vasudha Kapoor, Director and Co-Founder of The Gurukul Foundation School, was honoured with the prestigious Youth Icon Award at the 10th Season of the National Icon Award 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The recognition celebrated her contributions to education, women’s entrepreneurship, and the integration of Indian Knowledge Systems with modern technology.

Organised by the Bharti Yuwa Welfare Association (BYWA) in association with The Bharat News, the prestigious event marked the tenth season of a platform dedicated to recognising outstanding individuals whose achievements and leadership contribute to social progress and national development.

The occasion was graced by Shri Prevash Ratna Ji, Member of Parliament, and Dr. Raj Bhushan Chaudhary Ji, Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Government of India. The event also acknowledged the leadership of Mr. Rohit Narayana, National Patron of Bharti Yuva Welfare Association and Co-founder of The Bharat News, in supporting a platform that celebrates excellence and inspires positive change across diverse sectors.

Dr. Vasudha Kapoor is a Banaras Hindu University Gold Medallist, visionary educationist, and accomplished entrepreneur. As Director and Co-Founder of The Gurukul Foundation School, she has focused on advancing educational opportunities and promoting an approach to learning that combines cultural heritage with contemporary innovation.

Her professional journey includes several notable recognitions. She was a Top Five finalist for the All-India Women Entrepreneurs Award, received the Women of Excellence Award at the 46th Summit on Startups and Women Entrepreneurship, and was selected for the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Ambassadors Programme. She has also participated in initiatives associated with the Indian School of Business (ISB) and BIMTECH.

Her achievements further include the Shrimati Sushma Swaraj Stree Shakti Samman 2025, Top 10 Women Leaders in Education 2024, Visionary Educationist for Rural Development 2024, and the Amar Ujala Naari Shakti Award 2024. These recognitions reflect her work across education, leadership, entrepreneurship, and women's empowerment.

Adding to her institution's achievements, The Gurukul Foundation Society was honoured at the Bharat Entrepreneurship Summit 2026, associated with Startup India and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
