Desh Ratna Award - Dr. Raj Vardhan Shukla will award by Desh Ratna on 21 November
In the pursuit of creating positive change in society, Dr Rajvardhan stands as an inspiration and a compassionate leader. As a dedicated social worker, Dr Rajvardhan has committed his life to uplifting society with social causes. He has educated more than 20,000 students, For his work, he has been appreciated in many highly credited newspapers like Dainik Jagran, Aaj Tak, Ji News Hindustan Times, and many more. Now he is going to awarded by Desh Ratna on 21 November 2024 at New Delhi.
Dr Rajvardhan was born on 8 December 1970 in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. His parents died when he was only five years old. Despite that, he and his 6 siblings, three brothers and three sisters, held each other and helped each other grow together. Without any resources, he held himself strong and pursued his education and completed his schooling from HLBN Inter college and his BA and MA degree from Kanpur University. After this, he also completed his Ph.D. in Social Work.
Afterwards, he got married to his wife in 1997 and they both started to work together for his goal. His wife has always been a support for him and has always helped him in his kind work towards people. They both have three kids, one son and two daughters. Their kids are very bright students and have always been on a journey to make their parents proud.
Just like Dr Rajvardhan, he was very enthusiastic about studies and continued his studies with utmost dedication and always scored good marks and tried his best to make his deceased parents proud. To continue his journey of making them proud, he started his journey by teaching students and making them score well and with that he decided to start his journey as a social worker.
After the death of his parents, he and his siblings were responsible for their survival and for that, Dr Rajvardhan started giving home tuition to a tea seller's son, Ramesh Tiwari, who was poor in studies and had failed more than two times. He taught him diligently in the early morning and got free tea from his father as a token of his dedication and 100 rupees for his teaching job. As soon as Ramesh's results came, he passed with very graceful marks and this led to Dr Rajvardhan's popularity amongst the parents. After much persuasion from many parents, he started his coaching center, named Oxford Coaching Centre.
